I knew Ken just as an acquaintance from the gym. Always a smile on his face and the kindest words for everyone. Such a sincere and classy man.

It’s difficult to wrap my mind around Ken’s passing. Active to the end, he was a born leader and his priorities were made evident by his work, the numerous & varied organizations he supported & his undying commitment to maintaining the character of this city. His humility served as a blanket to cover everything he said and did. It would honor his life if WP citizens would step up & give just a little more of their time & effort to fill the very empty shoes created by his passing.

With so memorable an obituary and an impressive litany of good works I suppose at this point it does little good to remember Mr. Murrah as the fellow who disdainfully refused to shake my hand when I was running for the Commission seat held by his wife. My only objective of running was to stop the city from paying $8,000,000 to the Morse Foundation for a golf course worth at best $2,000,000 as I recall now. I was not against the purchase, only the damage to the city’s and taxpayers financial well-being. I soundly lost the election and the subsequent litigation, of course. You may screen this out if you like thinking this comment is mean-spirited but it is not. No man is an archangel, ,including Mr. Murrah.

Kenneth was a most cordial friend and faithfully dedicated pillar of Winter Park activities. His sincere interest, action and guidance were of great benefit to the community during his many years of legal practice. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and clients.
