Your Guide to the August Primary Ballot
The Winter Park Voice partnered with six other local new outlets to produce the first-ever voter guide by the News Collaborative of Central Florida. Use the dropdown menu below to learn about candidates in races that will appear on Winter Park voters’ Aug. 18. primary ballots. Candidates were invited to respond to a questionnaire developed by the seven NCCF newsrooms. If a candidate did not respond, that is noted in the guide, and when possible, publicly available information from campaign websites or social media is included. I find it dis ingenious to publish without reponse for more candidates. There is no way you even tried to reach Byron
Unfortunately, candidates who decline to answer questions are quite common. Every candidate was given the same opportunity to respond to the survey questions.
Byron? You mean the guy who refuses to debate? Your charge is ridiculous.
Thank you for putting this together; it was very helpful in navigating the candidates and issues for the upcoming primary!
I’d also add that when a candidate chooses not to respond, that in itself is useful information for voters. If someone won’t take a few minutes to complete a questionnaire for a local news outlet, it says a lot about how they might prioritize communicating with their constituents.
Can someone tell Mrs. Farrant that God isn’t constituent of Orange County nor a child at OCPS.
